Addison: I can just stop waiting… and just live.
Addison: I was thinking I would keep waiting for life to get easier. You know, lower stakes, less risk, easier. And I was thinking, maybe it doesn’t. Maybe the struggle, the climb, one obstacle after another… maybe that’s just life.
The road of life twists and turns and no two directions are ever the same. Yet our lessons come from the journey, not the destination”
Don Williams, Jr.
“The future enters into us, in order to transform itself in us, long before it happens.”
Rilke
“Action may not always bring happiness, but there is no happiness without action.”
“It’s not that I’m so smart, it’s just that I stay with problems longer.”
Let life happen to you. Believe me: life is in the right, always.
“Inspiration exists, but it has to find us working”
“What most astonishes me in Humankind is that the Human Being loses health trying to gather riches… and then loses riches trying to recover health. And for thinking anxiously about the future, forgets to live the present in such a way that ends up not living the present or the future. And lives as death is never going to arrive… and dies as if he has never had lived.” The Dalai Lama
“Everything should be made as simple as possible, but not simple”
Albert Einstein
A new year brings all sort of feelings and thoughts: expectations, hopes, questions… and our impatient soul in search of answers will blur the enjoyment of the journey.
I once came across this quote from Rilke that reminds me to live “presently” my journey.
“Be patient toward all that is unsolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves like locked rooms and like books that are written in a very foreign tongue. Do not now seek the answers, which cannot be given you because you would not be able to live them. And the point is, to live everything. Live the questions now. Perhaps you will find them gradually, without noticing it, and live along some distant day into the answer”.

Happiness
“Happiness is a state of mind or feeling characterized by contentment, love, satisfaction, pleasure, or joy.” Says Wikipedia..
What I like most about Happiness, is that one can not buy it, get it or grab it. And because it´s one of the most biased feelings, more than love, it’s even harder to define.
And still Happiness defines each one of us!
All I want for 2010 is Happiness!
And so I will do the most ridiculous list of things, small or big that make be happy.. (this doesn’t mean the list of things that make me MOST happy… I hate definitions like that…that you should know about me…). This is just a brainstorm list..
Dark chocolate
Piano music
Hugs, hugs and more hugs
Keeping myself inspired
Saturday breakfast out, iPod, newspaper and design magazine.
Helping others
Work success
Going back to bed to read after breakfast
Singing
Just washed smell linen & clothes
Quote: “Happiness is not a station where you arrive at, but a way of traveling” (Author: my sister, or so I believed since I was small)
What is your list? What do you want for 2010?
